Wash Your Clothes in an Efficient Way

Is this the process you do your laundry all the time:

Gather all the dirty clothes; Pour them all down into the washing machine tub; Add large doze of the laundry detergents with the water pouring down to the container; Spin dry the excessive water; Hang out the clothes (or dry out in the washing machine)?

Yes, I think I’m seeing you nodding your head while reading the process I wrote.

Mmm, it’s not an ideal process to do but I won’t say that you’re doing it wrong. Instead, I’d like to give you some suggestions for doing your laundry.

In this article, you’d like you to take it as consider how to protect your clothes while in the whole washing process and also correctly maintain your wash machine by the simple daily behaviors.

I divide the process into 3 phases: before washing, start washing, and after washing clothes.

Before washing clothes

  • Sort out your clothes into 2 main types of colored and white ones, due to a simple reason: deep-colored could have a high possibility to dye the light-colored and white clothes in the middle of the washing process.
  • In the middle of sorting the clothes, you can also read the instructions in the care tags, where will show you how to adjust the ways of washing for correctly treating its fabric. Additionally, you should pay attention to its requirement for washing by hand wash or washing machine.
  • After clothes sorted out and the ways of washing determined by its instructions, don’t put the clothes into the washing tub yet. First, add laundry detergent and water in the washing machine before you toss the clothes in. Secondly, mix the detergent and water evenly. And then you put the clothes in when the water got the level corresponding to the volume of clothes.

*If you can add warm water, approximately 40-degree celsius, the laundry detergents could have a better effect of cleansing.

Sort out your clothes that need to be washed so that they can be fully washed without affecting the colors from each other.

Start washing clothes

  • Add the proper quantity of clothes into the washing machine. Some suggest the volume of clothes be should be around 70% of the size of the container.
  • Follow the instructions of the washing cycle and choose the most suitable cycle that is suitable for the fabric of clothes.

After washing clothes

  • Hanging the clothes outside for air drying should not be too long because you don’t want your clothes to get dirty again due to air pollution. Therefore, they should be taken inside as long as they’re dried.
  • Give a basic check inside the washing and the spinning tubs, and see if there’s any dust or items left inside or in the lint filter, which is better to get wiped out or picked up after each laundry is done. By doing so, the durability of your washing machine could last longer by such simple behavior.
  • The basic check doesn’t mean you need a regular schedule of cleaning washing machine. Here’s an article illustrating what to do for correctly maintaining your washing machine: tinyurl.com/qme3hl7

It’s an easy job to grow the behaviors of properly doing the laundry by starting sorting your clothes, reading the care tags, and changing the process of adding laundry detergents and water.

From the perspective of an efficient way of washing clothes as well as maintaining a washing machine, you can make a behavior change right away!

*If you use the multifunctional single-tub washing machine, this article may not suit you entirely except for sorting clothes and reading the care tags.
